Copper and blood clots
« on: May 18, 2010, 12:49:51 AM »
Just doign research and found out that copper deficiency can put you at higher risk of developing clots, on the other hand too much copper can cause anxiety! agggh!
Is anyone here into nutrition, I'm a nutrition freak and am constantly trying to figure out the perfect nutritional combination for anxiety and ocd, given up on prozac, too many horrible side effects. Has anyone been helped by nutrition, for the HA?

Hmm...I know I have high copper.  No one seems to know why (I don't have copper pipes nor old fillings in my mouth).

I found this out incidentally when they were testing me during ALS worry/ one seems to care.... have bigger worries.  My doctor said it is "incidental" but I never knew it could cause anxiety!

Yes, I know studies link high copper to various cancers - but they don't cause it and aren't a sign, according to my doctor.

No 2 human bodies are alike. so i wouldn't worry about something like copper levels being a major risk factor. if it was, it would be listed in medical journals and on awareness sites. this claim is most likely based on a random study performed on no more than 1000 clot victims, who probabl had other factors contributing to their problem.
