Strong palpitations
« on: September 04, 2014, 05:51:46 PM »
Hey hey,

Long time since I posted. My anxiety has been under control for quite a few months, that means no panic attacks, no string symptoms that i get when anxious, etc. However, I've noticed that when I'm on rest, my heart beats very strongly. It just feels like its pounding with all it's force. It's not even when I'm exercising, it's just when I'm sitting in front of the computer or trying to sleep. I haven't counted the beats, but the rhythm is normal (it's not going fast or slow). I know t can be an anxiety symptom, but I haven't felt anxious in a long long time, so should I check with a cardiologist?

So the only thing abnormal is the strong sensation? No other problems like shortness of breath? If that is the case, you're fine. Should any worrysome secondary symptoms show up you may want to get checked out, but palpitations alone are rarely of any concern.
