Sharp pain then pop
« on: August 30, 2014, 01:37:23 PM »
I was leaving the store today and felt perfectly fine. All of a sudden, I got this intense pain under my left breast and it sort of felt like a popping. It was over in 5 seconds max and I have felt fine since then. Any thoughts? I looked up precordial catch syndrome. My husband laughed and said he was plugging his ears at a new disease.

I didn't google precordial catch syndrome and choose not too since my wife is 30 weeks. All I've been hearing for the past months is ouch,  ahhhhh,  ohhhh. But she brushes it off like its nothing, a real champ. She's been having plenty of pains and sensations but does not dwell on any. I honestly don't know what you could have felt but if you're feeling well now I'd say it's a good thing. I'll be sure to update you if she mentions any popping....

A friend of mine works at the hospital and she thinks it was just a gas pocket. I had a normal bowel movement this morning. Precordial catch syndrome isn't related to pregnancy and it is nothing to be concerned about. Pregnancy is general is not my best friend. My blood pressure is already low and pregnancy makes me feel so light headed. Thanks Paul for responding.

Yes, precordial catch syndrome. It's completely harmless but can be extremely painful.
