Should I be stressed?
« on: August 29, 2014, 04:42:59 PM »
I had a 3D mammogram from a new place last Thursday. They were going to get my other mammograms from the other center and compare. I have not gotten a call or letter yet. Should I be worried because my first mammogram? I had to call the doctor 2 weeks after the first one I had done to find out that I had a call back and the nurse said she usually does not check mammo from this center because it is not within their hospital group. So how long should I wait I called today and of coarse they r closed.

it is different with every place.   several years ago I had a mam.  I got a call back about a week after.  my mom was visiting and answered but didn't get the number or some such thing.  It was something like 3 wks before they called back.

more recently  i have gotten callbacks within two days.

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

So I finally got a called from the nurse about my annual and I asked her about the mammogram she said I should of already got a letter and they don't have anything on it. Well I called the mammogram clinic they said it had not been read because they do not have my last mammogram from the breast clinic. So I called them and they cannot release it without a signed release form. Then I called the clinic back and told her she said she is getting it right now so they can have the radiologist read it. Wow. My question is if they seen something on this one wouldn't they have called me earlier?

I go to a place with a radiologist in the building. They do my mammograms then the ultra sound and when I'm taken to the room, there's a slot on the door. The RN will say 'Here's your Happy Letter'!  Before you see the Doc, you already know 'I'm happy to inform you that there has been no change in your mammogram or ultrasound .........'

I'd have heart failure if I had to wait 3 weeks.

oh that IS frustrating.   >:(

I am changing mammo places this year myself.  the med group i go to now has an imaging center.   In July during my annual gyno exam, I signed release of records so I don't have happen to me what is happening to you.  I still have to  make my mammo.  I am going to make it for a couple days after my period so the boobies are not cysty or sore.
