Pain on left side of chest/lower rib area
« on: August 29, 2014, 07:22:43 AM »
For the last 4/5 days now I have had some pain on the left side of my chest. It is the lower rib area and just below my breast. I mainly only feel it when I am stretching out/back and sometimes when I am laying down in bed and flip to laying on the other side. I don't know why I am so worried about it, but I have been worrying that I have cancer or something. Should I be worried about this??

I have the EXACT same thing!! I have no idea what it is either but I am trying so hard to not over think it. I think it's probably just a muscle. I'm going to make an appt with my Dr to make sure and ease my mind.

Definitely a good idea to have the dr take a look at it while you are already in there for your annual. In the meantime though, it does sound like something more musculo-skeletal than cardiovascular, because it happens more when you stretch and flip, ie using your muscles and moving your bones. Maybe you stretched too far and injured a muscle, which would only require taking it easy.

That will be good! I'm sure it's nothing but I completely understand about your worrying. Good luck!
