Does anyone get winded easily with anxiety?
« on: August 24, 2014, 01:17:49 PM »
I am worried I noticed when I go ups the stairs I get a bit winded... I can breath but it's a bit labored and I can feel my heart... If I am cleaning fast I get the same. I worry that this is a sign of lung disease... I'm 38 and never smoked.
Does anyone else get winded easily? Could this be because of anxiety or GERD?
Should I see the doctor?

I do and that actually happened to me the other day - I freaked out and finally took an ativan and felt better. It's all anxiety.

That happens to me when I get particularly worried about something. It also started happening more to me when I hit my late 30s and I realized that perhaps I need to hit the gym a bit more often.  :winking0008:

I don't think so there is any need to see a doctor unless vertigo kind of things happens. It also happens to me many times, like if suddenly rush into something, my heartbeats starts bouncing madly. or else also sometimes blackouts. but however after 2-3 min rest everything gets normal. so i also dont worry much. but however as  said if it seems to have other symptoms like dizziness etc. then surely see a doctor.

I don't have any dizziness at all.... most times I noticed that my heart rate increases and my breathing its a bit labored when i go up the steps if I think about it. Sometimes my mind is not focused on that and after I am upstairs I realized that I didn't feel winded going up.... not sure what to do, of course I am thinking the worst....I am terrified of making an appointment.

I get this too and I've wondered the same thing. It scares me.
