Trapped wind - better out than in. Quite common (excess gas) with people with anxiety and bad stress management.

Try to think of the burp as a satisfying, letting out pressure from your gut event and start to enjoy them!

No one here laughs at anyone because we have all "been there" with weird problems and weird ideas about problems.  (burping isn't a weird problem, but you are getting weird ideas about it) - just like I had urinated only 2 times the entire day then wondered WHY I didn't have to go - that maybe a little hole opened up in my bladder and the urine is spilling out inside my body somewhere - now THAT is something you can laugh at!  LOL! But we all have our ideas that make no sense.   Burping is NOT indicative of anything bad - just excess gas/excess acid (Excess acid will create gas.

Many people on this forum experience an increase in burping when their anxiety is high. It can lead to LPR, which a lot of people on this forum also have. Control the anxiety and the burping will go back to normal.

I've done this for years now and looked it up a long time ago.  Anxious people swallow air when we talk or eat and if we notice it, we swallow MORE....... It's got to come out one end or the other.

I burp a lot, too.

Never laugh at a symptom.

I burp more with anxiety as I tend to tense my stomach and gulp air when I eat and breathe.

Snap. I have had that bladder worry. When I really need to go and it hurts and then suddenly it doesn't hurt anymore I am sure my bladder is leaking into my body.

Anxiety can and will cause burping. I burp ridiculous amounts when I am anxious.

Its fine, its just air that you have swallowed when eating food and if you have fizzy drink, it will probably be the bubbles of air in it.
