Has anyone had a chest X-Ray done??
« on: August 22, 2014, 11:08:17 AM »
i am so scared of going to the doctor.. i am having some shortness of breath.... i get winded when i go up the stairs, specially if I think about it.... i am so scared of going to the doctor because they'll send me for chest-xray and maybe they'll find something horrible.... i am so paralyzed with fear right now. I haven't felt like this in a while...... not sure of the breathing issues are related to my bad acid reflux....

has anyone had a chest x-ray done? if so, for what???? please help me, i need support.

Had a chest xray for the symptoms you had and more. Tight chest, chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.
Came back perfect.

I haven't...well I had one for my lower ribs years ago.  I cracked one.

my  3 of my kids have.  two more than once.  they had pneumonia a time or two.  round of anti-b's and they were right as rain.

why are you, seemingly, discounting your existing anxiety disorder from causing the shortness of breath?  your descriptions is VERY typical.  I mean it seems you are ignoring the most logical thing here--minus some resp infection.

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

my situation was much like Marie's. I had one done due to physical symptoms I was having during panic. Doc and I both felt it was panic but she wanted to be thorough.  It came back perfectly fine.

I have health issues and have had more x-rays, CT scans, MRI's and PET scans that I can even remember. I now glow in the dark ;)
