Would LOVE some input :/
« on: August 02, 2014, 07:17:28 PM »
Hey guys. I haven't been on here in awhile because I've been doing really well, unfortunately
Im starting to feel bad again. A few days ago while laying in bed I noticed if I poked under and to the right of my upper left ribcage it made a popping feeling.
I can push on it and it feels like there is something there because it makes a popping sensation. Now I have a constant fullness feeling in the exact same spot and I am so scared I have lymphoma or some other kind of cancer. Does this happen to anyone else??

1.i don't see how that is lymphoma.  sounds like a huge jump

2. stop poking around

3. it is likely the cartilage.  I think I know what you are talking about  as I have had that before

4.  the fullness is because you've set off the "uh oh I am dying form something" switch in your head.  at this point, if you are not careful your anxious over thinking could take to Catastrophicville.

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

Sixpack is totally right...it is your cartilage.

I went through the poking my abdomen phase when I convinced myself that I had CC...I almost passed out when I felt that cartilage because I thought for sure it was proof of a tumor (I know, it doesn't feel like a tumor but to me when I couldn't identify it I just knew it didn't belong there and was bad...NOT!)

Perfectly normal!
