Hey...introductions and talking to people is always hard for me but here it goes. Hello my name is Olivia i am 17 years old and i live with anxiety. I have always had problems with anxiety and have always been struggling with it. Im at a point where its really hard for me, the older i get the more i realize i dont really have anyone around me who understands whats happening in my head. I take medication now and have for a little less then a year and i am still having so many problems. My head just wont stop and i just cant seem to calm myself for more then five minutes. It sucks that this happens. I know im not alone i just feel alone. Please help me find a way to ease this pain and struggle i go through. Any ideas or thoughts just anything at all. I need someone.  :(:traurig001: :fragend005: :traurig001:

Welcome to the forum. Good to have you as a member. Here you are with like minded people. People who understand. As we all suffer from something or other. So feel free to ask any questions. Our members are always willing to help others out. Good chatroom too. 3 posts to enter the room.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.
All users of the chatroom must be 18 years old or over. The room is off limits to anybody under the age of 18.

Im on prozac currently. I was on that and took 60mg and it just wasnt working well for me so she put me on zoloft. Zoloft was awful for me, it made me feel insane, so now im back on prozac on just 20mg. Was working for a bit and now just doesnt seem to work all too well. Idk its so frustrating.  :(

Hi Piano,  :action-smiley-065:

I have been on Prozac 40 mg and a benzodiazepine for the last 15 years.

You are taking 60 mg of Prozac - this is on a high side, and Prozac for me has been very stimulating - initially causing more Anxiety, thus my doctor put on valium 10 mg per night, to block the anxiety and panic attacks until the Prozac did its job (6-8 weeks).

IMO: If you already used Prozac at 60 mg and Zoloft - which are two of the best - strongest and effective meds I have personally used....

Is this medication you are using for Anxiety or GAD, or do you have depression, OCD or other?

If Anxiety is your main problem, you might want to discuss with your Doctor using a benzodiazepine (long lasting one - Valium or Klonopin) like I did, - on a daily basis to get you quickly stabilized, instead of using an Antidepressant which you already have, - so you can get a better and quicker results to your anxiety issues...

My two cents   :twocents: :twocents:

Let us know about your progress - we are cheering for you  :action-smiley-065:

Im going to the doctor on thursday morning. Hoping we can figure something out. She will probably put me on 40mg prozac. Its frustrating cause the medicine seems to make me sleep a lot for like a month and a half and keeps me calm and then it doesnt work anymore. I think maybe i might start therepy pretty soon. Might be better and a therepist might understand more than my doctor. Heres hoping.
