Any runners out there?
« on: July 07, 2014, 05:24:03 PM »
Hi! I'm new here! I have been an avid runner for many years. Does anyone else run? Anyone done a marathon? If you run how far do you run each week? Did you start running to ease the anxiety or just for fitness?

I started running in high school. I joined the track team and cross country team. I loved it! I continued to run even into adulthood and it's helped me lose baby weight after 3 kids and been such a great stress reliever. Currently I've got a 5k that I am signed up for July 27 but I have done everything from a 3k to the full marathon.

Hi there,

I have been a runner until "almost" getting a heat stroke (or what I thought it was) last year summer training in south Spain. From there on I had anxiety/worries about my heart on and off.

Nevertheless, I did a 10k, a 9k and a 7k runs this spring, before the heat came (which makes me more anxious).

Welcome on board. =)

Hi Cwhite! I've actually just started to run and i want to make it a habit. I went running in the morning once which was a great feeling. But i got tired so easily! And it's been a long time since i've played any kind of sport/exercised so after the run my body started to feel sore.

Do you have any tips for beginner runners? Thanks!

Running is a great stress reliever!  I am a regular exerciser and I have been trying to incorporate running more and more.  Good for you guys!  (Cuch -I think it would depend on how far you get before they catch you!)
