Just because we fear a disease doesn't mean we have it!!!
« on: July 06, 2014, 08:34:29 PM »
Man I just read Sixpack writing in another thread "just because you fear seizures doesn't mean you'll ever get one" or something like that.... This sentence hit me hard tonight in a good way... I never thought of my fears like that And this kind of thinking is key to a recovery (if I ever recover from HA).... I need to have this as my mantra now... "Because I fear lupus, just because my friend has it, doesnt mean I have it"

Thanks Sixpack for this great insight!!! I hope u read this post!!!  ::)  ;D

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

What thread is it?  I fear seizures now and then.  So when that happens I laugh and shake my body. It helps lol.

This is a great reminder for all of us.  Probably something we should all write down and look at when we start to freak out.
