Had a good night last night, went to see fire works with family.
Today, I'm back in the kitchen again......Strawberry Pie!
5 1/2 - 6 cups strawberries, hulled and cut into pieces
1/2 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons corn starch
2 pie shells
Combine sugar and corn starch (& a pinch of salt), add to strawberries, combine. Put bottom pie shell in pie plate, add strawberries, put top crust on top, cut in vent holes.
I always bake my pies on a cookie sheet or shallow pan covered with foil, incase of spillage.
Bake @400' for 20 minutes----reduce to 350' for 30 minutes.
