Scared I have brain tumor again!
« on: June 28, 2014, 02:25:55 PM »
I have had a fear of a brain tumor the past year and a half and symptoms have come and gone now I'm freaked out again after about 4 months of forgetting about, I'm stupid and caved into google.
Here's what I've had over past year and a half.
- stiff neck for two weeks
- numbness in arms for a few days
- constant tension headaches for a week came and gone
- get out of breath much quicker when partaking in sports (not an athlete nor do I workout just play with friends)
- heart palpitations whenever these strands of worry come
- more recently failed a hearing test in right ear two weeks ago (50% deaf in left ear since birth due to heart problems)
- usually have 20-20 vision now have 25-30 as well. Only 18 years old

oh that google will do you in each and every time.

I've known 7 peeps either firsthand or second hand with brain tumors.  two were my dad and sister.  I am not seeing brain tumor here, AT ALL.  I am seeing anxiety made worse by googling

MOST anxiety occurs on a subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state

Don't google. It's not a doctor. I learned hard way. Dont sound like brain tumor symptoms so not sure where you read the part about the neck or heart. Anyway, if the symptoms have not gotten worse and been on and off for this long I doubt it's a brain tumor. See a doctor of you are that concerned.

The only illness that we can't accept is hypochondria

Never Google everyone will catch an invisible tumor

Anxiety is not a doctor Neither is the internet

Don't waste your time living in fear
