My blood sugar is high and I'm almost 'pre-diabetic' but that's because I'm overweight by 100 pounds AND diabetes runs in my family. I'm just freaked out. I read on another post here that 77 people in my age group die every year from pancreatic cancer. The worst part is they didn't say if that was in the USA or the entire world! If it's the entire world, well I'm still freaked out but my hypochondriasis tells me, "Amy, though you're 21 you're still part of that 77!" So yeah, freaking out. Also I did some Dr. Google research which I haven't done in a while and it said that abdominal pain is a sign of pancreatic cancer and I don't have pain but I have discomfort when I am sitting. How weird is that? It's pretty much only when I'm sitting or laying on my stomach. I need help man!

I had yellow stools when I had mono. Lasted about a week. However I get them off and on still. A couple weeks ago it was pure green. That one was amusing

77 deaths in your age group of millions??? I'm a betting man and will wager that you don't have it and won't die of it. It's a relatively rare disease. Take care.

I've had yellow stools, too. And I mean YELLOW!!! I've also had Green. And Pink. Yes, Pink.

turns out the Pink was from too much watermelon sherbet.

When I had the yellow ones, I did get tested and nothing wrong. The doctor wasn't concerned but I got tested anyway, and all was fine. Turned out it was a combination of things I was eating and anxiety. I do have allergy issues and sometimes the mucus goes into the stomach and can turn the stools different colors, including white!

My physician explained that any difference in stool softness/hardness/color is actually called Diarrhea.

He said diarrhea is not just watery stools, but any change in the stool, be it color, firmness, number of times, etc.

Think of it this way. One day you wake up with a cold that you didn't have the day before.

Today you pooped yellow that you didn't have yesterday. But, you're worrying about it. Think of it as a cold. It will pass. For real.

I know from past experiences I used to really worry about every color change. Until my doctor set me straight. I trust him. He also said that nerves can definitely change the color/consistency and amount of stool (diarrhea) that we have. Please know that you are not alone. And that you are fine.

Wow - if I had pink stools I think my heart might just stop for a little bit...  Wow..  Then I may laugh even.

Yeah, the pink one was a bit unnerving. Logically I knew it had to have been something I ate! And yes, I did laugh at the fact that it was watermelon sherbet. I tend to eat loads of it. I'm having some right now :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

Gall bladder symptoms are usually a horrible pain that can be in your back, moving from front around the side, nausea, etc. Pain can last five minutes to hours and hours. It's worse than natural childbirth.

I have no gall bladder and I had yellow stool this week after eating all light colored foods for days.  I do have to avoid fatty foods like sour cream or my tummy feels icky because of no gall bladder.

I just had the loose and normal chunks with yellow on the toilet paper so it really is yellow poop weekend.  BTW.... a few minutes later it was normal golden brown and formed.  Found this:

Quote
How Anxiety Causes Yellow Stool
Anxiety may contribute to yellow stool color in a variety of ways. What yellow stool traditionally means is that food passed through your digestive tract too quickly. Yellow is often the color of diarrhea, because diarrhea often (although not always) implies that the digestive system was "too quick" in passing the food through.

The yellow color itself is due to a combination of bilirubin (a chemical inside the body created by the liver) and fat. Undigested fat and bilirubin that hasn't been adequately altered through the natural digestive process both increase the risk of feces becoming a type of yellow or yellowish green. Bilirubin colors your urine and your bruises as well, and is responsible for the brown pigment in stool but only after it is converted to stercoblin a process that doesn't occur fully if food passes through the digestive system too quickly.

Numerous studies have shown that those with anxiety and stress suffer from faster intestinal transit.

The most likely cause is the distribution of fluids during anxiety, and the activation of the fight or flight response. It's likely that stress also changes metabolism and hormone balance in a way that makes the intensities function erratically. In addition, studies have shown that the part of the brain that controls digestion slows down during anxiety, so that mental resources can be used elsewhere.

All of these problems will speed up digestion and possibly lead to yellow stool.

I used Bing to search for normal bowel movement colors (after seeing what I thought was yellow is considered golden brown) and a hoax page locked my computer saying I was in violation of looking at child porn and that I had 24 hours (ticking clock on the right hand side) to go to Walmart or Kmart and send them 300$  (written that way).  The address had FBI as the first 3 letters and the 'official badge' said something like 'you won't escape this charge'.  It said I would go to jail for 3 years if I didn't pay, etc.  I couldn't leave the page so did a hard shut down and then cleaned my history, ran a virus scan and sent a message to Bing.  I didn't write down the address so they can't 'fix it'.

Beware!
