I went through the same. The chances or heterosexuals getting HIV in one encounter is astronomical. 1 in 650 have HIV. Majority in the African population. The chances of getting HIV is like 1 in 2000. Multiply that together and there is probably more chance you would win the lottery. I went through the same thing a few months ago. Get tested and get that piece of mind :)

It wasn't one encounter though. It's was regular sex for about two months I believe... I would have to get tested alone, because he thinks I am being ridiculous and he is tired off hylochondria in general.

She was puerto rican. Not a prostitute or drug dealer as far as i know

Hmmm puertorican?...That would slightly increase the odds but highly unlikely. A simple blood panel from the doc would tell if its been more than 6months

Why does that increase the odds?

Not sure where you live but they gave free oral HIV test in almost every major city. In Los Angeles, you can get a free test with results in 20 minutes.

You can also do the home kit but that's around 60 bucks and you have to wait about 3-5 days for results.

Why does that increase the odds?

Being puertorican doesn't increase the odds just because she is puertotican, but overall that demographic has a higher rate of HIV which is even higher in African Americans. It's more likely statistically but again very unlikely from an 18yr old who hasnt been around that much although these days idk lol

It's been 2yrs though. A quick test which I have faith will be clean is all it takes for you to live happy again.

have a great day op :)

You can always pick up the oraquick test from rite aid for 40 bucks. They are supposed to be pretty accurate and results are in less than 30 minutes so that is always and option if you don't want to wait.

The tops of my thighs are peeling.  I heard this is a symptom of HIV. I don't know. I have been able to stay off google so far. I mean it could be the very very very dark tan I got in puerto rico peeling off but my mind is saying otherwise. Plus when the skin on my shoulders started falling off, the skin that fell off was the color of my burnt  skin and the skin underneath was my original skin tone...  This skin isn't like this.
