Eye floaters when looking at sky
« on: June 22, 2014, 11:00:43 PM »
Hey guys,

Today I noticed something that's been giving me horrible HA. I went to the beach and was staring up at the sky and noticed horrible eye floaters. They were absolutely everywhere. As I started concentrating on them, I started noticing what people refer to as visual snow. At this point, I am convincing my self so much that I have MS. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Can someone give me a good reason why I shouldn't be tripping out the way I am right now??!

I want to believe what you said so badly, but I never remember my floaters being that horrible before. **sigh**. I'm on vacation and supposed to be enjoying myself, but I find myself more depressed than I've been in a while, all over seeing the visual snow and floaters

I get that if I look at the sky or something white. Also see them in the fog or snow. It does freak me out so I purposely don't look or I wear sunglasses.

Seriously - Ask the people you are with, or folks in general.  It happens to everyone!!!  Whe I look at the sky I see.....20-30 at a time.  I have a buddy who says he can see 100.  And of course it does not bother him.......ONE BIT! :)  GL - You'll be fine.

I get them too.  They are more noticeable when I'm anxious.

I have these all day, every day.  They drive me crazy but they are normal.  I'm constantly blinking to make them move.

I worry about a lot.. A LOT...but this is not something I worry about. I have a ton of floaters.  I went to my eye doctor...all is well.  If you go too you might feel better.

Are they floaters like one big blog moving when you move your eye

Or like 1000x of germs, sparkling things moving around.-- I even see them on my tv and computer and white backgrounds

Both I HAVE  and have been told they are completely normal just that after you see them its hard to unsee them.

am i correct??

I have floaters too. In fact they are quite common. My eye doctor assured me they are normal.  Go for regular eye exams. Eye exams are painless and offer huge relief if your worried about your vision.  I understand your anxiety about this but assure you they are normal

I've had eye floaters for as long as I can remember. I've had them checked out numerous times (huge waste of money) and in general, floaters are almost always (let's just say 99% of the time) nothing to worry about. You are absolutely fine. Rest assured
