Weirdest Symptom Yet
« on: June 21, 2014, 01:19:36 PM »
Three days ago I was traveling and when I wasn't wearing my sunglasses on my eyes I let them sit on the top of my head, seems like a pretty harmless thing to do.  Since then I have had a constant dull to intense pressure right where my sunglasses were.  I don't typically wake up with it but then it comes.  I've struggled with headaches since my HA started but it's always been my temple area.  I can't tell if this is literally me going insane or if this is a real concern.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

Dear playmaker093,

This is actually quite common with anxiety. It's possible that if the sunglasses were a little tight they might've caused pressure but basically because you're worried about it and focused on it, the anxiety will create pressure there. A good metric to help determine it as anxiety is to note that it goes away as you sleep and then comes back when you wake up, probably once you start thinking about it. Are you partaking in any treatments for your anxiety?
