Anyone know any good foods that might lessen the effect of anxiety?

I'm not so sure about foods specifically, but two of my go-to drinks when I'm anxious are chamomile tea and ginger tea. In terms of foods, you'd want to go for light stuff, that isn't going to upset your stomach. Usually anxiety makes the stomach go crazy anyway. Over the years I've been told that lots of foods help, and then been told that those same ones don't. Personally I like a nice hot broth, or soup, when I'm feeling shaky and weak and horrible :)

Eating nutritious foods can definitely help reduce stress and anxiety.  There is a lot of info on the internet about which foods can help.  Some foods help raise serotonin, which is calming---oatmeal is one of them.  Green tea has L-theanine in it, which also has a calming effect.  Almonds, avocados, oranges----generally whole foods that have plenty of natural vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants are beneficial for helping feel good physically and mentally.

Take care :)
