Advice please? Anyone!
« on: June 20, 2014, 12:24:18 AM »
Right now I am absolutely convinced I have soft tissue sarcoma. I have a bumpy lump on my inner left shin just a bit under my knee cap. It isn't noticeable and I noticed it while putting on lotion. It hurts because I've been poking it so much. It's about the size of a grape or a little bigger. I went to the doctor today to have her check it out and she sorta just gently rubbed her hand over it a few times and said it isn't anything to worry about..but I've read so many things on google about soft tissue sarcomas being hard to diagnose because they can be hard or soft. I'm so scared. I'm 19 and it's more common at my age.

What you read on Google is not as important as what your doctor thinks. Google can't touch the leg. Your doctor can. I am sure if she was anyway worried at all she would have sent you for a test. Try and stir well clear of Google. It is never any good for the mind.

Thank you soooo much for posting this!!! I have been feeling the exact same way the past two days. I found a small bump on my thigh. I remember it being there like 6 weeks ago and it hasn't grown or anything, so I'm not sure if it's new or not. I first discovered it because it was itchy. I'm so panicked over it because I decided to use Dr. Google as well. If your dr thinks it's fine, you're probably fine. But if you are really worried, just push to have a biopsy and then you'll know for sure.
