Exercise - Migraines - Fed up
« on: June 18, 2014, 04:48:36 PM »
Hey guys.

I've been trying to work out more. I'm a healthy weight, I certainly don't need to lose any. I just want to keep fit and active. But every time i do, I get migraine auras the following night/morning. And it's quite irritating!

Have any of you experienced this? If i keep going will they stop (after exercise)  ??

It's like a rock and a hard place. I'm trying to be active, but get slapped down by my body.. hahaha :/

Be well hydrated and try different forms of exercise to see if some things are better than others.  Don't overdo it at first and see where your limits are.  If you're exercising outside or in bright light, wear sunglasses.  There are migraine prevention medications, so if all else fails, discuss that with your doctor.  The good news is that exercise and being in good shape ultimately prevents migraines, so they may lessen over time.

I've always been this way. I am also not in need of losing weight, but when I try to exercise for stamina purposes I have headaches that just make me not want to.
