DVT symptoms help?!
« on: June 17, 2014, 05:21:37 PM »
Hi I really need some reassurance. I had my baby 10 days ago and having some baby blues I suffer from health anxiety started a year or so ago anyway today I started getting a pain in my calf like a pulled muscle pain which I feel when I'm walking it's not a bad pain more just tight if that makes sense. I jumped to conclusions that it could be dvt I phoned nhs 111 and they asked me loads of questions and told me not to worry at all but just see my doc. I have no other symptoms other than the pain my leg isn't swollen it's not warm you get my drift I feel physically fine apart from this 'pain' so can someone please put my mind at rest I feel all shaken up and ended up having a panic attack which I haven't had for over 6 months :(

You've answered this yourself already - pulled muscle. If the NHS line felt there was nothing to be worried about, and it's not causing you serious pain, then take some painkillers - Ibuprofen is good - and put it out of your mind :)

I'm sure it will. Minor muscle pulls don't take too long to relax and feel a lot better. Just go easy on it for a couple of days :)
