Anxiety horrific upon waking and at 3 pm
« on: June 16, 2014, 02:44:18 PM »
When I open my eyes I feel the huge feeling of panic and worry which keeps me lightheaded. Sometimes it feels as if I am not living but I'm just there. I take Xanax and feel ok for a few hours. Early to mid afternoon I feel awful again almost as bad as waking in morning. Have no choice but to take xanax. Feel giddy , eyes feel slow, lightheaded like crazy, and some head aches or pains. Four months. Wonder if it's MS or something. Would I be blind? My doctor said he would know by urine tests for diabetes because I mentioned it. Tumor.... Or anxiety or something that will go away on it's own I can't figure it outtttttt.

You need to be working with your doctor to taper off your Xanax.

Did you do any research into the drug you're taking daily? As I've said multiple times before, research benzodiazepines and their affect on your anxiety and the long-term risks of using them. You're looking for answers as to what causes your anxiety but you're also using medication which is directly linked to anxiety as a side-effect. Baseline/original anxiety source is what should be worked on. You cannot even get to this point until you're tapered off the Xanax.

As bad as your situation seems now, It gets easier just try to get some more continous sleep and it will get better as you go along. And the eye things is normal, I feel as if though I cant focus them and they get crossed  but its most pronounced when Im tired.
