Amount of Sleep

We all know more sleep helps our anxiety but just how many hours is hour community sleeping per day?

During the daytime I usually don't sleep but if I do dose off it is only around 20 mins. now during the nighttime around 7 hours.

I can sleep some days for 12-16 hours and still not feel well

I actually sleep only about 2-4 hours a night on a regular basis....and sometimes 4-5 hours with a rare night with 6 hours thrown into the mix every once in a blue moon.....

I'm on medication for my anxiety which I take in the night and it can make me wired, but when I sleep I get a lot of sleep of about 8-10 hours. I sleep more during the summertime.

On medication, which is doing great! I love the major improvements it has made for me and he people around me for when I have anxiety I make others suffer, but not anymore!

I have weird bouts of insomnia, but i know its from my anxiety i get at night. I will go for a week or two sleeping fine, then ill have a couple of nights in a row where i only get 2-4 hours. Ive just started taking about 50mg of hydroxyzine (atarax) on the nights i feel like ill be up all night. It helps but for some reason it takes ~2 hours for it to knock me out.

Like i said i know its brought on by my stupid anxiety. If i could get it under control i wouldnt have any problems sleeping. I start freaking out if im not asleep by midnight and its all downhill from there.

On a average night around 6-7 hours.
However that's with taking sedating medication (not intentionally to treat insomnia but it has that effect).
If I don't take it, I normally get around 3 hours of solid sleep and spend the rest of the night staring at the ceiling or tossing and turning.
