I had two neuro scares: the first began 17 years ago when I noticed massive fasciculations (all over, but mostly on the bottom of my feet), urinary retention, difficulty with orgasm reflex, severe fatigue and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, acute Epstein Barr Virus infection and BFS. I would notice that my lips quivered when trying to apply lip-liner, and my arms trembled when I was trying to blow-dry my hair. The second scare began about 3-4 weeks ago when I noticed that my left arm felt slightly heavier than usual, and I;m getting occasional weird feelings and aching in my left bicep. Finger coordination is fine, but (being an HA sufferer) I am certain that it's the beginning of MND and I ride the rollercoaster of being okay, and absolutely freaking out. If I could walk into a neuro's office tomorrow and hand him $500 to just "do the damn EMG and get it over with" I would, but things don't work that way with HMO's, and I just cannot deal with the red-tape in addition to the stress of asking for tests.
