I recently had brain mri. The techs can see whats on the screen and be able to see if somethings wrong. They would have alerted the dr. Mine was able to tell me on the spot my mri looked good. Which it was. Drs bring you to the office because legally they shouldnt give information over the phone incase its not really you. But some drs do tell. I definitely wouldnt worry. I have had 2eegs and one 24hr eeg just for having migraines. And 3 brain mris and a ct

Well according to the nurse/receptionist at my neuro's office - if there were something serious like a brain tumor, he would call before the weekend, so if I can make it to 10pm tonight, I'll take it as I don't have a tumor and I'm in the clear. T-minus 13.5 hours!

Called the imaging dept at the hospital. They told me the report was finalized. I asked them if they sent it to the doctor yet and she said she wasn't sure but she's sending it now, just in case so they should have it within T&E hour. Regardless, the report is done, so if the radiologist found something, he would have called the doctor right away. So if there is something serious going on, my doctor already knows about it. They wouldn't just fax the report if I had a brain tumor, they would call the doctor...right? That's what I've heard anyway.

So...as you can see I'm analyzing this thing to death in true hypochondriac fashion

Hope so! Ten hours to go!!! I've been cleaning the house like a mad woman! At least my headache went away. Always goes away when I distract myself.

Well that's just a stress headache. So they said for sure they would call if they saw a tumor?

I told the nurse on the phone that I was really scared that I have a brain tumor and asked her if he would call me if I did. She said "yes, he would definitely call you. He would want the disk to look at the images himself, but even if he didn't have that he would call you" I then said "would he call right away? I have my MRI this morning ( phone call took place yesterday) so would he call by the weekend?" And she said "yes, he would definitely call you by the weekend. Especially since it was a STAT order. He might call after hours because that's when he catches up on phone calls and patients, but it would be before the weekend." So I'm taking no news as good news.

I would be anxious too. Infact I have been there. I was just wanting to get my ct scan over with but deep down I knew I didn't have a tumor. It was just my anxiety telling me different. Reading google. I know you are tumor free. And soon you will know that for sure! :)

26 - with two kiddos - 3.5yrs and 18 months. - A lot of my anxiety comes from thoughts of not being here to see them grow up and raise them.

I'm 36.

You are young and that makes your chances even smaller of you having brain cancer. You will be around a long time. Don't you worry!
