Cancer and diabetes worry? Please help
« on: June 12, 2014, 05:53:02 AM »
Lately I've been feeling fatigued and just depressed and my head feel a bit heavy, like pressure. It's constant thoughts about me having cancer or diabetes and it's irritating. Sometimes I wake up and feel completely restless, but at night I can't really sleep at all. I don't exactly know the  symptoms by heart, but I do remember it saying feeling "tired all the time, could be a symptom". Ever since my anxiety came back I have been experiencing constipation and when I do have a bowl movement, it's not much. I must admit i haven't really been eating that healthily lately and I haven't been active. I have reason of why I haven't been doing anything, but it's more personal.. Let me know what y'all think, please? Is it possible  that could have gotten cancer or diabetes within a year?

Symptom:
•fatigued
•stomach pain
•gas

At 17, your chances of any serious illness are extremely remote. Your symptoms may just be
due to stress and anxiety.

Can I ask why you have a fear of diabetes?  Do you have a family history?  I have diabetes as do millions of people, its very manageable. You wouldn't "feel" diabetes until you blood sugar was way high.   You'd be feeling extreme thirst and using the bathroom alot.   If you have a family member that has it just use their glucose machine to check your blood.

Yes, my grandma and her sister  have it, but she told me it's not a family thing and it could corrected with the right diet.
Tell me how exactly did you feel with diabetes. I use the bathroom normally, I'm not thirsty but I just woke up and have cotton mouth lol

Its common for older people to have it, you're not overweight so I wouldn't worry too much.  You don't really feel anything till your blood glucose is extremely high.  Mines was in the 400's before I started getting terrible thirst.  Basically your body is trying to get rid of the sugar by flushing itself out.  Thats why you drink/pee more.  If its in the 100s-200's you might not feel anything different (I don't).  Its simple to check it, just ask your grandma to test your finger.  Its a simple drop of blood needed.  Feeling fatigued could be a million things, probably depression.
