Pain...googled it
« on: June 11, 2014, 11:16:32 PM »
This issue has moved from weak legs and arms (thought I had a BT), then soreness, and now random, very sporadic dull pain in random places like my calf, thigh, arm, back, ears and head.

A co-worker's husband recently died of multiple myeloma.  Then, an NFL player was diagnosed with Lymphoma.  Whenever I hear about a disease, particularly since I'm having unexplained symptoms, I feel compelled to Google it hoping I can reassure myself that my symptoms are not due to X disease.  Unfortunately, Google says pain is a symptom of multiple myeloma, so now I'm worried about that, lymphoma, leukemia and any other blood C.  I don't want to die any time soon and I want to feel better!

I have several other symptoms which seem to be more neurologically related.  I had several blood tests done including a Complete Blood Count which were all normal, but that was like 3 months ago.  Do I need to have another blood test?  Or are there other symptoms that I would be having if I had one of these nasty things?  Or, would my blood have shown something 3 months ago when I was tested and already symptomatic?

For MM your calcium would probally be elevated and protein in your kidneys.

I doubt you have anything based on those symptoms

Are you bruising?

You sound healthy to me. Most blood Cs would show up in blood work. Anxiety especially over a certain disease can give you symptoms you most likely wouldn't if you weren't worrying about the disease symptoms.

Thank you both for responding.  That makes me feel a bit better.  No bruises, just soreness and dull pain once in a while.
