Our shoulder is an intricate set of connections, called the shoulder girdle, I think. Imagine the flexibility our shoulder gives us.

If your doctor is not concerned you might just go with shoulder exercises. I do them most every day. There are shoulder lifts, rotations back and front; raising the arm, elbow bent, hand touching shoulder and make circles. You may want to check YT for illustrations. With attention and patience you'll be fine.

Have you been to a chiropractor? This once happened to me and recently to my husband and each time we had a shoulder out. Once adjusted, no more problems with it.

A chiropractor is a good idea. Now I went to YT and found an interesting short presentation (sorry, can't do that linking) titled How To Relieve Shoulder Pain by Dr. Ackerman, a chiropractor.

He relates it to posture and gives an excellent single exercise that should help the rotator cuff. I call it the Pyramid Clasp from yoga. Clasp your hands behind you which forces shoulders back, straightening the spine, promoting good posture and as I learned now, also helps the shoulders. Let us know how you get along.
