Anyone had luck with lexapro?
« on: June 06, 2014, 11:27:26 AM »
well probably those doing well are not here any longer... I started on Sunday with 5 mg. I will increase it to 10 this sunday. So far so good, not really too bad side effects but some increased anxiety.... I am really praying that this works for me. I feel like I am wasting my life worrying about diseases all day long.....
Anyone doing well with lexapro? Thanks

Lexapro has worked good for me for several years.  It wasn't until the last 2 years that it hasn't been enough to keep my anxiety in check.  I've had stresses at my work that triggered my greater anxiety.

Hi :action-smiley-065:

I have been on Lexapro for at least 10 years now and it truly does work. I had been put previously to Lexapro: prozac, zoloft, luvox. paxil to name a few with none that helped and extremely horrible side effects. Lexapro e the only one and at this time I take only 10mgs a day to manage. I urge you to keep going and remember the dosage that is currently right for me may be higher for you but IMO this drug is well tolerated and I at one time was using 20mgs.

It worked pretty well for me.  I went off of it because of weight gain, an extremely rare side effect of that particular anti-depressant, but while I took it it was helpful.

I take it's sister, Celexa.  Lexapro is more refined than Celexa and supposed to have a better delivery system.  Celexa works very, very well for me.  It's changed my life.  Good luck!!!

I've been taking it for about 2 weeks 10mg and I feel great. I haven't had any side effects other than some drowsiness. Hopefully you will start feeling the good effects soon.

Does it help with physical symptoms of anxiety - aches/pains, muscle tension, fatigue?

It's helped me with those little aches and pains I use to freak out about. I don't have any muscle tension or anything now.
