high liver enzymes
« on: June 03, 2014, 01:31:27 PM »
I have had mild high liver enzymes for 5 months and they just don't want to return to normal.  I am eating only whole foods, moderately exercising completely cut out sugar, alcohol and anything bad from my diet.  I have a sauna 4 times a week and switched out all shampoo etc to the non toxic variety.  I am drinking a lot of water but it occurred to me that I hadn't changed my reverse osmosis filter for 5 years.  Do you think this has anything to do with it?  Can anyone give me some advice.

Mine were mildly high about 10 years ago when I weighed 280lbs.  Now I'm a trim 220ish and they are normal.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.  - AnxietyZone member Sixpack

I only weigh 122 lbs and my liver ultrasound was normal and so was all of the blood work for nasty liver diseases.  I just can't figure it out.

ALT is 54, normal should be below 44
AST is 32, normal should be below 31
GGT is 96, normal should be below 45
Everything else is within the normal range.  Thanks for your help.
