Anybody relate?
« on: June 02, 2014, 04:55:43 PM »
Well I have panic attack disorder an for the last week or so they have greatly increased to where simple things are not easy to do. I've been in my room because I can't drive and going outside makes me uncomfortable. Some people say that they have had these episodes an it goes away. I just want to be normal again 😔

I've had the same problem for a little over a week. Every day is a fight just to get out of my bedroom and do anything. I tend to do this sometimes but they subside after about 2-3 weeks. I broke down today after a major panic attack. My mother came to my house and held me and let me cry it out ( I'm 29). I felt like I hit bottom but now I feel a little better. Maybe you just need to release the emotions to help a little?

It could also be your dealing with depression on top of the anxiety.  During anxious spells we tend to hold up in our safe zones (like a bedroom) for long periods leading to a depressed isolated feeling.

Was there before, trust me when I say you can't be afraid forever. You will get bored of being afraid of whatever eventually and move on. Best thing to do is just let it happen, be scared, go out, and repeat. Just test yourself every day and it will suck ass. Sometimes when u think you're over it it'll hit u again. Nothing you can do. I'm in 2 years now and I had it the worst. My anxiety is prob 3-10 at my worst now.
Anywho, good luck and relax ;)

It'll subside and then come back.  Kind of like the tide.  You just kind of ride out the bad moments knowing later you'll be better.  When you feel really bad you have to try and help the situation, get outside even if you don't want to, watch a funny clip on Youtube, I like to draw it helps pass the time.
