Biggest fear of seizures/epilepsy
« on: June 02, 2014, 07:30:16 AM »
My symptoms are frequent deja vu, depersonalisation feeling, intense feelings of fear and strange vision. These attacks have plagued me the last few years but become more frequent. Had all the scans but they have come back clear. I am so scared that I am going to have a tonic clonic seizure it is such a fear of mine.

Highly unlikely, as your tests were clear.

I dunno I have heard epilepsy can develop any age and tests can be normal. I am so nervous as all my symptoms match someone with temporal love epilepsy when I read online websites

Same as you with me! I have fear of tonic-clonic seizures. Had normal EEG/MRI, and have never had a brain injury, illness, infection, or any other thing. I read online that people with epilepsy can have normal readings and now I am worrying that my symptoms match someone's with epilepsy. I was told you would know if you were having a seizure, but you would forget it after. I am scared because I feel like if I have a seizure, I will have to experience the scary feeling of the seizure during it, before I forget about it at the end of the seizure. (I have never had a seizure.)

I can complete understand where your coming from the only thing with me is I do actually experience seizure symptoms I get this weird head feeling where everything around me seems surreal and dreamlike more so I get frequent deja vu symptoms on a daily basis so unless your experiencing any of these you have nothing at all to worry about but as in my case it's seizures unfortunately even though I haven't been diagnosed with it
