Been a while...freaking out.
« on: May 30, 2014, 01:54:30 PM »
I had a colonoscopy in February. No polyps. Carcinoid tumor in rectum. And hemorrhoids. I am pregnant and my prenatals gave me very bad burning diarrhea. Today i had a little bit of blood when I wiped. Does this sound like my hemorrhoids? The carcinoid wasn't bleeding and hasn't caused me any problems.

Hemorrhoids are so common during pregnancy that it very well could be that.  I would keep an eye on it and if it happens again, you could call the Dr but I would bet it's not at all related to the carcinoid.  If they truly believed that you were in any danger, they would have taken it out, especially since you're pregnant

Thanks for the reply. I have met with three surgeons who are all not concerned about the carcinoid. The one surgeon told me to be thankful that it is a carcinoid and not another kind of tumor. He did ask me to have a flex sig to look at it halfway through pregnancy since there is not much literature on it.

How ar you doing? Have you had your mri yet? Baby is doing great. So cute. 8 weeks and 3 days. How about your little one? I had another BM and no blood. I think it was irritation from diarrhea. It was awful.
