Anyone with bfs
« on: May 22, 2014, 06:59:58 PM »
Hard to accept I have bfs. After five months of no weakness I guess that's what's truly causing my twitching. Anyone else on here have hotspot twitching or nonstop twitching? My calves are always going sometimes more so than other times. Last night after sex they were going ballistic! Today they're way more calm. Bfs sucks..

Bfs is benign fasic syndrome.  It basically is a lot of twitches that don't have any reason or harm.

Hey! I am a 23 year old male. I can relate. I have been having a non stop twitch in my left forearm for the past week---no other symptoms besides perceived weakness. Not the weakness where you cant lift or do something but the feeling I can't lift or do something but still can.  I can still lift weights consistently and with good intensity which leads me to believe I have BFS as well and in just in one spot which is really just more of a nuisance.  I too have such a hard time accepting BFS as well as the twitches are a chief symptom of other diseases.  Every day that there is no weakness is more reassurance that the twitching is in fact benign.

I've had nonstop twitching in my calves for almost five months. I wish I had a hotspot for a week or two like you..

Not 100% sure whether this would include me or not. I certainly have a lot of unexplained twitchings, and so far nobody has ever found out what is causing them. It's really unpleasant, and it often sets off my Heath Anxiety.

For 17 years I've had them. Underwent every neuro test available and found nothing.  I'm now 49, active, work full time and never even think about them anymore. They are terribly common.

Violet, how often can you see them? I'm scared because I can see the ones in my calves every day. Some I see, some I don't. Some I feel, some I don't. I think everyone here eats obvious twitches not like mine.
