Don't feel with it and constantly spaced out
« on: May 22, 2014, 01:51:29 PM »
This is something that's been bothering me more recently than any other symptom. I have pretty bad social anxiety, which as you can imagine makes working in a supermarket all the more difficult. To put things into perspective, I'm always jumpy, edgy, jittery, especially around others. This has now perpetuated into a constant state of "spaceyness", if that's a word. Hypothetically someone will ask me something and I'll be standing there trying to listen and trying my hardest not to black out from being so spacey. it's utterly horrible.

I was wondering, what can I do to help clear my mind and alleviate this dreamy feeling. It also feels like I'm floating most of the time, like I'm just a pair of eyes.

Oh and meds wise I'm on Lyrica (Pregabalin)  and Mirtazapine (Remeron for you Americans)
Please help:)

Have you tried doing 10 deep breaths to help ground you?  I'm also learning yoga moves that are good for anxiety.
You can google it and find videos to show how.  Hope that's helpful.
