CONSTIPATION
« on: May 16, 2014, 11:08:16 AM »
I have G.A.D. & O.C.D. which has been under control until recently.
I take Remeron for anxiety & Luvox for OCD.

Anyhoo, recently, I've had to strain to go.
So, I started eating more fiber & drinking more water.
Now, it's a bit easier to go.
But, I'm still voiding small hard "pebbles".

I've got myself all freaked out.
Thinking it's something sinister.
Please, help!!!

What you are letting back out depends on what you eat. Could come out smaller depending on the food. Once you are going I wouldn't be worried. Try some dark chocolate, Trust me if you don't really go after that I give up.  :laugh3:

I take magnesium at night for leg cramps/restless legs. A side effect is being very regular every morning. Even six months pregnant. :-) Maybe check with your dr and try.magnesium. :-)

Prune juice helped me when I had the same problem when I first started medication for GAD. Now I've been on that medication for a while the problem has, so to speak, passed.

And garlic always helps me - I hadn't considered it until later on. Perhaps I should have tried it when I first started on the medication. Are there any ingredients that, from past experience, you might take in moderation to see if they help get you going?

Try drinking a full 8 ounce glass of water as soon as you wake up in the morning.  If that doesn't help, prune juice is a good remedy.

Take care! :)
