worried of als bulbar onset
« on: May 15, 2014, 08:31:05 AM »
Hello all. To make a long story short for the past 5 months I have been terrified of als. In that time I saw 6 neurons 2 of them also specialists had an emg MRI ct ct scan blood work basically the works when it comes to neurology. The latest was an als specialist 2 weeks ago worked on me or an hr. he said I have carpel tunnel based on my emg that's it no als. Two days ago my lips got tingly the back of my throat felst as if it was closing and I noticed it took me a couple swallows to get food down. I'm wondering if they cold have missed something. He also said I have a brisk reflex in my left elbow but every other test was normal an he said I'm as strong as a horse. One of he things hat bothers me is that my emg back in February was done only on the right side and its my left side hat feels the muscle fatigue stiffness etc. My anxiety is through the roof with this. Does anybody have any thoughts it would bemuch appreciated.

Nothing about that sounds like big nasty.  Does sound like globus hystericus.  And neuros are trained and paid not to miss neuro stuff.
