Advice, Choking, Panic Attack
« on: May 15, 2014, 01:05:58 AM »
Hey, so long story short, I was convinced that I had lymphoma and was constantly pushing on my neck to determine the size of the lymph nodes (turns out they weren't even lymph nodes). Now my neck is extremely sore and the soreness permeates into my collarbone and shoulder. I have this weird swallowing sensation (I believe Globus?) and it's frightening. I feel like I have to force myself to swallow my saliva and there's like this clicking noise as it goes down and feels like it stops almost right above my adams apple. For some reason, I am scared to death to go to sleep because I'm convinced that I'm going to choke and die in my sleep. Please help!

I'm not sure what to tell you to help you calm down, but you're not going to die from swallowing saliva in your sleep.
