heart pounding
« on: May 11, 2014, 04:40:42 PM »
Has anyone ever felt their heart pounding even at rest? I haven't been doing anything strenuous or anything and my pulse is a little over 100. My chest is a little tight and uncomfortable. I know my heart beats a little faster when I panic but im not panicking. The feeling of my heart racing and pounding is making me panic. Is this dangerous or typical with panic? I can usually get my pulse down with deep breathing but for some reason this isnt working. Please help.

Very very typical of panic. I used to feel that all the time when I had brain tumor fears. My pulse would sometimes get up past 120 when I was laying down. Take time to make sure you're not feeling stressed, and also try and work out if you don't already. Working out eventually lowers your resting heart rate even further.

Is it normal for it to happen like off and on for a couple days?

Yeah definitely. Sometimes I'd feel fine and then I'd have it out of nowhere.
