Ida, I wish you much luck in turning things around. Some things that were helpful for my GAD:
physical exercise each morning, being part of a Meetup group for folks with anxiety, taking buspar,
being open with friends about my GAD.
I know that 42/7 feeling of suffocation or dread. Like a bad dream you cant awaken from.
ACT therapy was very helpful for me too. I learned to not fear my anxiousness, but rather to befriend it.
