Metoprolol for social anxiety?
« on: May 07, 2014, 10:53:12 PM »
I was wondering if any of you have been prescribed Metoprolol for anxiety? If so, how has it worked for you and how much and how often do you take it? Also, are there any side effects that you experienced while on it?

Thanks!

Beta-blockers have no direct affect on anxiety, but mostly work by blocking the adrenaline mediated physical response to anxiety. For some this is enough. They generally only produce mild side-effects.
