Breathing
« on: May 06, 2014, 06:41:12 PM »
Lately I have been really short of breath. I cannot blow out air for more than 10 seconds. What can I do to help lengthen my breathing? I need to get my lungs going!

Is it real? My anxiety attacks always make me feel short of breath and short of oxygen. I know this is NOT real but that doesn't stop my feeling that way.

I think it's a fairly common reaction during anxiety attacks.

I do have anxiety. I was diagnosed 10 years ago. But here in the last year my anxiety has changed to health anxiety. I don't even really know when it happened. So I do have shortness of breath from that pretty often. I just know that I am not active at all and that isn't good for my lungs, my heart, or myself in general. So I am looking for some ideas!!

I was questioning the breathing, not the anxiety. I think my breathing problem is psychological, not actual.

You should go to the doctor. If they say you are okay, you can begin to tackle this as anxiety.
