Here we go again....twitching STOMACH? Huh?
« on: April 30, 2014, 08:24:21 PM »
Ah yes, 'tis the time of year again for twitching fears.

I've had them all over but mostly when I get stressed it's my eyelid.  Can go for WEEKS until acupuncture calms it down.

Now it's my stomach, of all places.  The left side to be exact.  It's like I'm pregnant with a swarm of butterflies (I'm not pregnant with a human OR butterflies, in case you were wondering!) and every so often from just under my ribs on my left side down to my hipbone on my left side it just FLUTTERS.  Like an electric shock runs down that part of my stomach....but not.  Or like a twitching muscle.....but not.  It's completely indescribable and it's driving me batty.  There is no pain whatsoever and no weakness at all.

Can that actually be anxiety?  I tell myself "I'm NOT stressed!" and I'm actually really happy and having no anxiety issues.  But here we go anyhow, pregnant butterfly feeling on one side only.

Reassurance or advice would be lovely.   Thank you all so much.

I've had this many times, also on the left side of my stomach. I don;t know what it is, but I really don't think it's anything to worry about.

It's such a strange feeling.  Like a violin string stretched between my lower ribs and hipbone that is sometimes plucked and vibrates.  Really strange.

Had em today...of course I twitch most places...and yes it can all be anxiety stress related whether you feel stressed or not.  Twitches without weakness mean little.  Just about everyone twitches...we just happen to place value on them.

Well said.  I'm not even remotely weak or in any pain, it's just freaking strange.  Normal people would just say "Meh, I tweaked a muscle or I'm stressed."  But of course we are not normal people. :)
