freaking out tonight.
« on: April 29, 2014, 05:03:30 AM »
So I took my vistaril about half an hour ago. I calmed down a bit. But I am still feeling like I am having some symptoms. I took it because I had a heart palp and numbness going on which I worry about the most. so now I am having symptoms still and just like hearing reassurances that its all in my head and heart worries are normal and etc. etc. is it normal to have slight sharp pains that come and go in your chest?

Hope you're feeling better but yes I get palps quite often and weird pains in my chest as well. I also had to take .5 xanax earlier because  my HA starts acting up at night. Too much time to worry I suppose. Blah!

If you are anxious such pains are normal. You are focusing inwardly. Making things worse. You need to take your mind off of yourself. Find something else to focus on. Once you do that the pains will go away. The more you focus on them the more you feed the fear. So try find something to focus on. Put a radio on. Read a book. Just take your mind off of yourself.

I feel slightly better now. Once I have waited an hour or two I convince myself that if it were real heart problems something would have most likely happened by then. It just sucks because sometimes I feel like when I take my medicine to calm down it calms all of my body down except for the areas I focus on most and am most concerned about. Like my chest and what not.
