ear pressure and dizziness
« on: April 27, 2014, 07:57:16 PM »
I had an episode while finishing up with cooking a big lunch today. My ears suddenly filled with what felt like pressure, almost like I was driving through the mountains; a few moments after that happened I got extremely dizzy. It all lasted about 5 minutes then went away. its been about 4 hours since that happened but since it happened I have felt VERY weird. sort of out of it, tired maybe, a little nauseous and dizzy sort of. This same thing happened 2 days ago while vacuuming out my car. Does anyone know what this might be or have had anything like this? Im really scared and its definitely heightened my anxiety/panic

That's a horrible experience to have. I hate, hate, hate random dizziness. Have you had any sort of pain in your ear of late? Dizziness and ear pressure could definitely be the result of some sort of ear infection. It could also have been a slight increase or decrease in blood pressure, which might just be worth discussing with a doctor. There's a lot of very simple things that could cause this - any sort of ear problem will cause dizziness, and the tiredness and nausea would be the anxiety afterwards - so I really wouldn't panic :)
