Do you look your therapist in the eye?
« on: April 16, 2014, 06:57:52 PM »
Yesterday was my second session with the therapist the first one was of course a more of get to know you session.  I kind of came a bit unprepared the second session  I explained a lot of things about my anxieties at work but I felt like I couldn't fully explain them thoroughly. I am now starting a journal of all of my anxieties.  I noticed she stared me straight in the eye the whole time and I guess I was a little caught of guard by it.  I am good at looking at people in the eye when they are talking but when I am trying to talk and think at the same time I often focus on an object straight a head of me instead of looking her in the eye.  Just wondering if any other people have trouble looking their therapist in the eye.  I guess it is only the first couple sessions so it's at least good I can look her in the eye already but not the whole time :)
