But, if he follows up with some counseling, that would be a good thing.

Agreed.

It's the only way to truly get yourself back to "normal." Otherwise, we end up finding something we haven't been tested yet for to worry about. And then once we get that ruled out, it's on to the next disease. Sometimes not even. Sometimes it doesn't help at all - we think the doctor was wrong or the test was wrong, etc.

Treat the anxiety. It's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Yep, we have to have tools to avoid this in the future.  We move from disease to disease, fear to fear until we deal with the fear....attacking it at it's roots...getting some tools for dealing with trigger.

Last night I took a Xanax, my sister said it would calm me down. It did, I was asleep within an hour. I woke up and my foot wasn't numb. I feel okay at the moment.

I partially agree with you guys, but sometimes there are conditions we have that contribute to anxiety.  Like tiredness and sleeping problems are anxiety related but I went in for a sleep study and was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea.  It didn't cure me but after 5 weeks I can say that a better nights sleep helps me function.

100% in agreement with the commenters here.

The irony of HA is that we think there's something wrong with us.... but what's REALLY wrong is that we're caught in a cycle of self-diagnosis.  That's the cycle we have to break.

So an anti-anxiety med has helped with your symptoms?  Does that sound like *** to you?

Well today I still have the foot twitching and buzzing. I noticed though just now, if I stretch my back far enough, both of my feet got itchy/tingly and the left outer part did that vibration thing.
