Anyone else gets this? Face pressure and dizziness
« on: April 05, 2014, 10:21:14 PM »
Hi, I'm a bit of a regular here...although I've been fairly good lately. I'm 25 and I've had swollen lymph nodes in my groin and armpits for almost 7 years now, I've written this so many times before I don't feel like I need to  :laugh3: but I suppose new people could be reading this.  Have had all of the regular tests done, minus a biopsy that doctors don't feel is necessary.

Anyway, I sometimes get a pressure feeling in my face and forehead followed by a dizzy feeling or lightheadedness. I feel like I sometimes clench my teeth or have my jaw muscles clenched causing them to build up tension and when it releases I get the feeling of dizziness. Now, that is the "reasonable" explanation but I can't help but wonder if it's my lymph nodes that are causing this, or some sort of a tumour.
I've had this on and off from spring 2012, so it's been like this for a while.

Anyone else gets this or something similar?

That sounds like sinus.  Do you have allergies?  That's exactly the feeling I get when my sinuses are full.

I am currently experiencing this. My dr said it was a frontal sinus infection and is sending me to ent. My head feels so full when I stand up and I get off balance feeling. Like I'm just walking unsteady but my balance is good if you look at me. Some times my head is so heavy that I can't stand straight. I've googled too much and now fear it's a brain tumor or ms. So my anxiety is taking over. I will feel better when I get a straight answer from the ent.

Actual diagnosis : chronic sinusitis.
Google diagnosis : brain cancer.

Symptoms : dizzy head feeling.

Baldrick - you said you sometimes clench your teeth or have your jaw muscles clenched - if you are doing that (or maybe you don't even know you are doing that while you are sleeping) you could have some TMJ going on.  I have that.  It can cause face pressure and dizziness when the muscles are tight.  Sinus issues can also cause all of that.  Neck tension (oh yes!) can definitely cause that stuff (especially the dizziness).  Those symptoms are so common with anxious people - it's the muscle tension.  YES muscle tension can cause all of that!
