antidepressants aren't a miracle 'cure'..but they may help manage symptoms, provided you are in therapy as well. I was prescribed Cipralex first, a dose of 10mg, then 20mg 3 days later. It didn't seem to help anything, just made my DPDR worse, and Fluoxetine and Wellbutrin did the same to me. Medication made things worse for me, I also didn't have a very good counselor and my psychiatrist wasn't right for me. I'm better off not on anything. Make sure you have a counselor you like before you try medication

I take 30mg of Celexa.  For me, it's absolutely needed.  I've tried three times to wean myself off (under a Dr's care) and I know realize that I can't live without it.  Just like a diabetic needs insulin, I need Celexa.

Celexa truly gave me my life back.  I've had HA since I was a little kid and will be 40 next year.
